To secure your place, you must complete the registration form available at griekse-les.nl or by using the “Enroll now” link under the course of your choice.
Enrollment Process
You can enroll in a course using the special registration form found at griekse-les.nl or by clicking the “Enroll now” button under your desired course. After completing the registration, you will receive a confirmation email, which serves as proof of your official enrollment.
Enrollment is possible before the start of the courses, as long as there are available spots. Once a course is full, the link becomes inactive, and you can express your interest by adding your name to the waiting list.
If there are available spots in a course, the enrollment link remains active for up to two weeks after the start of the classes. During this period, you can still enroll, bearing the responsibility of catching up on any missed content.
Payments
Tuition fees are clearly listed in Lato’s annual program as well as on your registration form.
Please note that tuition fees do not include books or other materials unless explicitly stated in the course description.
The final step in the registration process is the payment of tuition fees. Payment can be made via iDeal, credit card, (for credit cards, an additional charge of €7,00 € applies). You can choose to receive your invoice or not. Choosing to receive an invoice is ideal if you need a receipt for personal records or if your employer reimburses your tuition fees.
If you need the invoice to be issued in your employer’s name, please clearly provide their details (name or company name and address) in the comments section.
Payment in installments is available only for those enrolling for a full year. If you wish to take advantage of this option, please contact us.
Lesson Fees
Lesson and course fees are listed on www.griekse-les.nl edit any changes made are valid only if and when they are published there. These fees are VAT-free and do not include the cost of books or other materials unless specified.
Fee Adjustments
Fees may be subject to change (this usually happens in the beginning of the academic period).
Tuition Fee Refunds
Upon enrollment, students are required to pay the full tuition fee for the course.
A refund will be issued if the student cancels their enrollment at least two weeks before the course starts.
For cancellations made within two weeks of the course start date, students may request a refund by sending a written request with their reasons to info@latocultuurcentrum.com.
In this case, an administrative fee of EUR 50 will be deducted from any refund.
Once the course has started, no refunds will be issued for any remaining lessons.
As a general rule, fees cannot be transferred to cover payment for a course in a different period, semester, or academic year.
However, you may have the option to transfer your fees to private lessons. Please contact us to discuss and arrange a special agreement.
At Lato, we strive to run all the courses listed in our program as long as they have a sufficient number of participants.
Lato reserves the right to cancel a class if it has insufficient or no participants. In such instances, students will receive notification approximately one week prior to the course start date, and their tuition fees will be refunded in full without any deductions for administrative costs. Furthermore, Lato may propose an alternative option for students to attend the class in a semi-private setting, with the exact details of this offer communicated to them accordingly. All administrative questions should be directed to Lato via the Contact Us Lato guarantees that all paid courses will be delivered to students, provided they meet the criteria to continue and have not been cancelled from the outset/ see above. We ensure the quality of our courses and continuously work on their optimization.
For any complaints, students must submit their concerns in writing using the contact form. Receipt of the complaint will be confirmed. Complaints must be clearly described, and submissions from pseudonyms, anonymous sources, unknown email addresses, or non-students will not be accepted. We ensure complete confidentiality throughout the complaints process and commit to responding within three weeks. Scheduled lessons that are cancelled by Lato, for any reason, will be rescheduled at the end of the course on the same day and at the same time. Alternatively, students may arrange with their teacher for a mutually agreed-upon alternative day or time. In such cases, the class will be conducted online. Lato reserves the right to assign a different teacher to a class if necessary. Before starting your classes, if you are unsure about your level, or if you took classes many years ago and are uncertain about your current knowledge, we recommend taking a placement test to assess your level. For those with a higher level or a special interest in grammar, we offer a written placement test. This test includes both written and oral components. At the end of the test, the teacher will evaluate it in your presence, either in person or online, and provide you with detailed information about your level. The placement test costs 20 euros, which will be deducted from your tuition fee upon enrollment. If your level is absolute beginner, a placement test is not required. If you are a relative beginner and your interest in the language is primarily communicative, you can schedule an appointment for an oral assessment. During this appointment, you will have a brief conversation with one of our tutors. You can then discuss your mistakes with him or her and receive informed advice on the best options for your learning journey. For this test there are no costs. If a student disagrees with the teacher’s assessment and insists on joining a higher level, they may do so at their own risk. Transfer to a class with a lower level is possible only if there is an available spot in that class and within the first two weeks of the course. Regular attendance is mandatory for students. Furthermore, students must ensure they complete their assignments and keep up with the overall pace of the class. In case of absence, students are responsible for catching up on missed content. In the event that students have repeatedly missed classes and are unable to keep pace with the course, they have the option to compensate for the missed classes through a private lesson of one hour against a catch-up fee of 45,00 €.
Evaluation
A personalized feedback session can be scheduled at any time upon the student’s request, ensuring privacy and excluding open class settings. Additionally, arrangements for an online discussion at an alternative time can be made in coordination with the respective instructor.
Intellectual Property
Course materials provided by Lato during the course are strictly for the use of enrolled participants. Therefore, participants are expected to respect copyright-protected material. No part of these materials may be reproduced or transmitted to third parties in any form, including print, photocopy, or any other means, without prior written permission from Lato.
Holidays
Lato’s classes observe official Dutch holidays but not school breaks. Additionally, there are no classes during Greek Orthodox Easter, so please check the detailed course dates available both on the website and in the e-mail you receive immediately after your registration.
Confidentiality
Lato reserves the right to photograph classes for promotional purposes. If a student objects, they should notify the teacher in advance. All client information shared with Lato is strictly confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties.
Refusal of admittance:
Lato reserves the right to deny entry in case of non-payment of course fees or breach of safety regulations as outlined in Lato’s Terms and Conditions or the venue’s rules.Liability
Participation in Lato’s courses, activities and events is voluntary and at your own risk. Lato is not liable for loss or damage to personal belongings; safeguarding belongings is the participants’ responsibility. Also, Lato is not liable for accidents or injuries during lessons or activities. Students are solely responsible for their actions.Private & Semi-private lessons-
Payment & Cancellation Policy
At Lato, you have the flexibility to choose between private lessons or semi-private sessions with your friends, tailored to your own pace and specific needs.
PLACE: Lessons are offered both online via Zoom and in person at Lato’s school, in Amsterdam. Lessons at place are limited to in-company sessions only.
RATING: Contact us for pricing details and more information on Private or Semi-private lessons.
PAYMENT: All lesson packages must be paid in full before the start date, at least one week prior to the start of the package.
EXPIRATION: All lesson packages expire one year after purchase and cannot be refunded or transferred
CANCELLATION POLICY: For all lessons—whether private 1-on-1 or semi-private cancellation policy applies.
So, if a student cannot attend their private lesson, they are required to notify their teacher or Lato at least 48 hours in advance. If the cancellation occurs within a shorter timeframe, the lesson will be charged as usual and cannot be rescheduled.
To cancel a lesson, please notify us via email or written message (SMS, Whatsapp). Otherwise, the lesson will be invoiced in full without the option to reschedule.
Online lessons
For all online lessons, our cancellation policy applies.
If you are late, your teacher will wait for you for the next 15 minutes. If you are more than 15 minutes late, your teacher will no longer be available online, and the lesson will be charged in full without the option to reschedule.
Please ensure you have a reliable high-speed Internet connection. In the event of a connection failure, where you cannot reconnect within the next 5 minutes, we can arrange to reschedule the lesson for another day so as to complete your lesson or the lost time will be added to another session.
If you encounter any technical issues, please notify your teacher immediately. We strongly recommend logging into your virtual classroom a few minutes earlier, even if you keep your video and sound off. This proactive approach ensures a smoother learning experience for you.
Events
Registrations for events are non-refundable and non-transferable.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
The money-back guarantee applies exclusively to group courses (Normal, Intensive, and Conversation).The student must have attended both of the first two lessons of the registered course in their entirety, without partial attendance.
Requests for a refund must be submitted within 3 working days after the second lesson and no later than before the third lesson.
The student must complete and submit this form via mail using the Contact Us section and the email submission date must be within the specified 3-day period.
